The Rec Tech, under the direction of the Community Center Manager, opens and/or closes the Center, helps organize and works new and existing recreational programs for the community, maintains the general appearance of the facility, fulfills all custodial needs while on site, maintains statistical records and reports, works special events on request, will function as contact staff on site to accommodate rental needs, and performs other duties as requested by the Community Center Manager.
$9.50 - $13.50/hr depending upon qualifications and experience
Varies/On call: 15-25 hrs/wk. Mon – Friday 5 pm – 10 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8 am – 10 pm.
High School Diploma or GED
Work well with all ages
Obtain first aid/CPR certificate within 6 months after hire date
Oral communication/ interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and participants while performing duties.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift and/or move (up to 50 lbs) supplies, materials, and equipment. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
Must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and credit check.
Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
